Learn stringing with flexible beading wire as well as jewelry-making terms, and walk away with at least 2 pieces of jewelry and the knowledge and confidence to make more. All tools are provided for use in class. A $10 materials fee covers all stringing material and basic beads. Or, request a materials list 2 weeks in advance from Rachel.

Earring Wardrobe

Parks & Recreation Description: Love earrings and want a wardrobe of them? After learning this essential jewelry making technique of loop-making you will walk away from class with two pairs of sparkling earrings and a 20-gauge wire bead chain--the beginnings of working with wire. All tools are provided for use in class. A $10 kit fee covers 2 pairs of earrings and practice materials or contact instructor to request a materials list at least 2 weeks in advance of class.

Encrusted Chain

 

A beader’s dream, this necklace works up to be a lush garden of accent beads, graced with a focal bead of your choosing. Creating an impressive necklace has never been easier with this project consisting of simple stitches through a base built up from a strong chain. Contact instructor at least two weeks in advance of class for materials list. Most beads, materials, and tools available for purchase in class.

Knotting Jewelry With Silk

 

Learn to knot your pearls and skip the expensive per inch cost charged by jewelers. We will talk about how to attach a clasp and create a simple silk knot between each precious bead. $10 materials fee payable to instructor in class covers a strand of pearls and all sterling silver findings. Multi-strand Bead Stringing

 

Tired of one-stranded necklaces and ready to step up your technique? Learn to put several bead strands in a cone together to make professional-looking necklace or bracelet. Other multi-strand stringing methods will be discussed. In addition, using nylon stringing material in place of flexible beading wire will be demonstrated.
