Absolute Beadweaving: A Weekend-long Bead Retreat 2008
Spend a weekend learning from master beadweaver, Rachel Nelson-Smith, about the secrets of successful beadweaving techniques. Learn four different stitch and get assistance in selecting thread, needles, and projects in tune with your personal creative goals. Stitches covered are: flat even-count peyote stitch, right-angle weave, tubular herringbone, and brick stitch. You will leave class with 4 sample swatches of beadweaving. Bring your seed bead questions for a fun-filled weekend! Contact Rachel 2 weeks in advance of class to request a $10 kit or a materials list. Some items must be mail-ordered in advance, so plan accordingly.

2008
With the guidance of a master beadweaver,
spend two class sessions exploring the art of beading freely and
answering the question "what if?". With completed pre-work, in the fist
class students will discuss possibilities for their piece including
components and overall feel, with individual exploration time between
classes, students meet again for further discussion of assembly and
finishing. Knowledge of any variation of at least two of the following
stitches is required: herringbone, peyote, brick and right-angle weave.
Contact instructor directly for pre-class assignment which consists of

Don't Bug Me I'm On Vacation Earrings 2007 Symbolizing the tropics and vacation time, these cute palm tree earrings are fashioned after the evergreen real thing. You will use size 8° round or hex seed beads to make this trendy wide cuff bracelet. Add a fancy glass button and you're good to go!
